The Process of Creating Your Site

The Steps Involved

  1. The first thing to do is analyze your keywords.  It’s become easy and free to analyze what keywords are actually being used by your potential customers/site users looking for a site like yours. Together we’ll figure out what they are and base the rest of your site’s creation around that.
  2. If you already have graphics developed, we can build around them. If not, we’ll get to work creating unique graphics for your site. From there, we’ll spin the rest of the style elements in a "mock-up."
  3. Once you’ve approved the mock-up we write a stylesheet and template for it.
  4. Once that’s done we’ll build your customized Content Management System. A CMS is a publishing platform that has a back-end administration area that allows you to add, delete and edit your own content whenever you wish. Our favorite, WordPress, has a number of useful features out-of-the-box and a thriving Open Source community of developers who are constantly contributing free or low-cost "plug-ins" that will provide an amazing array of functionality.
    1. Need a blog? A world-class blog comes with. (The list of famous users, like CNN or Times-Warner, is endless.)
    2. Need a forum? A few clicks and it’s installed.
    3. Need an e-commerce store? Plug it in.
    4. The list goes on endlessly. A sophisticated, dynamic, database-driven site is now available to the masses!
  5. We’ll help you with your content to whatever extent you require.
    1. Want to just give us some bullet points to flesh out? Fine. We can ghost write the whole thing.
    2. Need some editing? No problem.
    3. Want to write it all yourself without interference? Great!
  6. Once your content is in place we will stay with you until you’ve gotten comfortable keeping up with it yourself. We think you’re going to love it!
  7. We don’t have an ongoing maintenance contract. Instead, we keep track of how your site’s doing and suggest what you need, as you need it. Our hourly billing rate is half of many of our competitors.
